Transactions: Record Payment in ResMan

Follow the steps below to enter payments and deposits in ResMan:

Click the Transaction Efficiency Ribbon or go to the resident’s account page. There are two options to go to the applicant's account page:

Navigate to Accounts → Residents → click Go → select the name from the list
Enter the resident's name or unit number in the Quick Search box → select the name


❷ If you navigate to the applicant's account page, click New Transaction on the left navigation menu. If you clicked the Transaction Efficiency Ribbon, proceed to the next step.

Enter or select the following details:

  • Account name - enter the resident's/applicant's name or unit number if not already filled out
  • Transaction date - defaults to today's date
  • Charge transaction type - select Payment or Deposit from the drop-down list
  • Transaction category.- select from the drop down list
  • Description - enter description if necessary
  • Amount - enter the payment amount
  • Notes - enter additional information if needed
 Click Save or Save and New. The Save and New button is used to save the current transaction and enter another transaction.
