Outlook - Add Email Account

Issue: Unable to access the Property Email.  


Reason

  1. During the update to our IT infrastructure, the Property Leasing Email was converted to a Distribution email vs. a individual email. 
  2. This was done in-part of each S2 employee having their own email. 
  3. This was also completed in preparation of our switch to our new Property Management Software later this year.  



You can gain access to the Property Leasing Email by doing the following: 


Open the Desktop Outlook App - see steps below:

  1. Click on Windows flying icon
  2. In search bar - type in "Outlook"
  3. Click on icon "Outlook"
  4. Do not use the Outlook (new) app.  There are issues with the app, creating the Leasing email inbox where you can access it.  




Classic Outlook (aka Old Outlook)


2. Enter the email address you want to add.  In this example, it will be the property leasing email (i.e. ellwood@s2res.com).  




3. Password: You should not be asked to enter a Password.  

4. then select OK > Finish to start using your email account in Outlook.

To View the additional email accounts - follow the steps below.

  • Note: The 2nd email box will not state "Online Archive", it will have the Property Name listed (i.e. Ellwood).
  1. Left hand Navigation bar (Side Menu), you will scroll to the bottom of the All Folders in your Email inbox to view additional email account(s).  
  2. Click on the additional email account(s) you added to open the inbox.
